Bob Feinberg, Chairman of the Board, Co-Founder
Bob Feinberg is Vice President & General Counsel of WNET, the premier public media provider of the New York City metropolitan area and parent company of public television stations THIRTEEN, NJTV, and WLIW21. He has practiced media law for nearly 20 years and has been an adjunct professor at Fordham University Law School since 1991, where he has taught media law, criminal law and legal writing. Bob earned his J.D. from NYU School of Law and his A.B. from Cornell University. He lives with his wife and two children in Montclair, New Jersey.
Meredith Ladov, General Manager
Meredith began volunteering with MFF in 2010 before taking the position of General Manager in March, 2011. Prior to that, she was actively involved in the Montclair Public Schools and ran a small home-based business. She began her career in the Marketing and Advertising industry in both production and account management capacities. She has been a resident of Montclair for over 18 years and is married with two children.
Raphaela Neihausen, Festival Director
Raphaela worked as a management consultant for seven years, advising Fortune 100 companies on strategic growth. She then produced the documentary “Miss Gulag” (supported by the Ford Foundation and Sundance Documentary Fund) that premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and went on to be broadcast worldwide. Raphaela is Executive Director of the weekly series Stranger Than Fiction at Manhattan’s IFC Center and the annual festival DOC NYC. She holds a BSFS/MA from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, graduating with honors.
Thom Powers, Festival Director
Thom is the documentary programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival since 2006 and also oversees its “Mavericks” discussion series where he has hosted guests including Bruce Springsteen, Chris Rock, President Carter, and many others. He is also Artistic Director of Stranger Than Fiction and DOC NYC, and consults on programming for the Miami International Film Festival. Thom has directed documentaries for HBO and PBS and teaches documentary courses at New York University’s School of Continuing Professional Studies and the School of Visual Arts.
